[A] Marx revival [is] under way. Communist propaganda, [an] unwanted reminder [of] boring topics [about] fragile postmodernity [and] ideological anarchism [full of] doctrinal deviations, idealistic errors, [and] misguided misappropriations [has] left liberals [and their] innumerable provocations [stuck in] Marx-avoidance [which is] oddly non-partisan, [a] tireless catalogue [for the] philosophical intellectual.
[This] reader warned the word ‘theory’ quizzed exhaustion [and] elitist abstraction. [A] seeming weakness [of] radical democrats [are] critical juggernaut[s] [whose] plaintive confession[s] [in] content and character [makes them] perspective targets. Critical panorama[s] [made up of] unequal segments [with a] wide-angle view [of] conceptual dilemma[s] [and] respective shortcomings [and which have] traditionally revolved [around] social philosophy, denunciations, [and] anti-theoretical inquisitions [have left] intellectual life [bereft].
